Sour Dharma grapes
Well today finally marks the end of the Dharma recruit testing procedure, and unfortunately the big bang we were hoping for was a little anticlimactic, with all that awaiting us was a brief Dharma message summarizing the last few weeks and clueing to December 15th. The only small message they included to tempt us was "patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet" - so the end will make up for this two-month ARG gap?
Do you believe them though? We've all had a lot of faith since the staggered start, are we at the point of the hair that broke the camel's back, where we no longer believe there'll be a cool light at the end of a testing tunnel? Or are you still remaining a little Dharma trooper, confident that the end will be satisfactory for all who played?

Hm. If nothing happens between now and December, I'll be VERY disappointed. I want to hear from the other side! Surely there are still people out there fighting Dharma? What happened to them?
So, personally, it all hinges on whether that was... it.
I don't know if you frequent the forums but one member, "theotherbilly" made a really good suggestion:
"In show time December 15th is the day that Naomi arrives on the Island. The title of the episode is "Catch 22" and if you go to Wikipedia you'll find this:
Catch-22 is a term coined by Joseph Heller in his novel Catch-22, describing a false dilemma in a rule, regulation, procedure or situation, where no real choice exists. In probability theory, it refers to a situation in which multiple probabilistic events exist, and the desirable outcome results from the confluence of these events, but there is zero probability of this happening, as they are mutually exclusive.
Maybe we won't have to wait until December 15th after all. "
Perhaps something to think about?
I'm now officially considering myself a Hostile.
Because of my love for horsehair vests, my desire to pal around with the mayor of Gotham City, and the obvious anti-aging properties.
And because I feel like the DI have personally let me down. To think that even my position as a Josh Workman has been compromised by a 2-month moralizing practical joke by a guy named Hans. Seriously?
It's deserving of the interrobang.
!?
That's how I feel. Like the human manifestation of the interrobang.
Matt,
Bringing a Catch-22 angle into this situation only makes me that much more despondent. And Hostile.
I there any way to describe this meta-hiatus of two months other than anti-climactic? Of course, like anna, I expect something to happen before dec 15, however I can't imagine anything following these test worth waiting 2 months for. Well, maybe if they'd send us all Dharma jumpsuits...
Being a black swan, I didn't waste too much time on the tests, but still, this rates far behind the 2006 ARG and even the little salvage expedition thing last year. Which is disappoiting, because the Dharma initiative has been my favorite element of the Lost mythology. Reviving it, recruiting volunteers, how awesome could that not be!?
I would rather have spent that past couple of months in Room 23 than to have played this ARG.
I am a little iffy about the date of December 15 in this message. It says that from that date we will be able to download a dossier of our results and posting, however, we have those NOW, and it's still nearly a month before that date.
