DamonCarltonAndAPolarBear.com has been updated with a YouTube vid of the event at Bardot in Hollywood, and at the start has some red text for a very brief moment. Not only is it brief, it's also really small - but seems like a little clue to when the next frame will be released... what can you guys make of it?
I blew it up to full screen and it just looks like a red line to me. I can't make out any breaks that could form letters or nothing! (Then again, I am blind in an eye.)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like there is a number 2 in there, but I can't make out anything else.
ReplyDeleteI think it says, "Let's continue the Lost rewatch!"
ReplyDeletePainting number 2 comes out tonight/tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteTo be serious, this namarte stuff seems like marketing to me. If they come out with one painting a week, this will drag on right up to the time when Season 5 is available on DVD and Blu Ray. So will "Mysteries of the Universe." Lost University starts then, too.
ReplyDeleteLet's get on with the rewatch.
Rumor on lostargs.com is that the red text reads:
ReplyDelete"Frame #2 - 8/26"
I took a still from the high quality version of the youtube video (not really so "high quality"), and zoomed in on the "text" in Photoshop (http://bit.ly/hiddentext).
ReplyDeleteIf it says something, it's completely illegible. It could be a blurred version of the possible anagram that's being discussed in the comments for the "Ketchup" post (http://bit.ly/dcpbketchup)- but it really doesn't look like much to me. If anyone has a clearer image, I'd love to see it.

I am not sure if this helps, this is the largest capture of the 2nd frame of the actuallyitsketchup vid
ReplyDeleteLarge version
I do not beleive Macdaddy could decipher the text the way he said he did. If he is correct, he is a damn good guesser or an ARG insider, and his reactions to my prodding about his technique revealed less maturity than expected. you can see more in our forum under the ARG section
The red line might be a red herring trying to distract us from the fact that the website AcutallyItsKetchup.com is misspelled in the title of the video. However AcutallyItsKetchup.com doesn't exist.

New update on the site. Very cryptic. Any ideas what it means?

It's probably a reference to another location.
"Newbury Weds"
ReplyDeleteIf lostargs.com is correct about the date of 8/26, that's this Wednesday. So apparently on Wednesday we'll get the next piece of art by someone named Newbury. That's my guess, anyway.
If you go to the "Hub", there is a picture of people standing outside Emerge, which is a spa/salon in Boston on Newbury Street. It appears as though there is some filming going on, as there are bright lights trained on the spa. Anybody in Boston that can add anything to this?
ReplyDeleteI'm really sorry to see that the Rewatch blogs have fallen apart. I'm up to season 4 now. I've taken to re-reading Jeff Jensen's EW recaps from the first time around, which is pretty fun...but I liked being about to discuss the past episodes in the context of what we know now.
