New channel to air Lost in Australia

Australian Lost fans should presumably see Lost in primetime slots, rather than waiting until late night, in 2010 due to the launch of Seven's new channel.

Channel Seven's long awaited announcement of their second digital free-to-air channel, 7TWO, will feature move many American series across to the new secondary channel.

Seven’s Director of Programming and Production Tim Worner stated, “I am pleased to announce that 7TWO will be the new home for premiere episodes of our international hits including J.J Abrams’ Lost, Ugly Betty, Heroes and 24.”

Lost already has a page on 7TWO's website that promises Season 6 will reveal "the fate of Jack Shephard (Matthew Fox) and his fellow survivors ... once and for all."

Season 6 will presumably premiere in Australia late January/early February.

  1. thanks for this piece of useless information, I'm guessing you found just about had enough time from the last month to pull your finger out to type this.

  2. I think this is actually a new guy posting, those that abandoned us were sam mcpherspon (or something like that) and CTS, so I hope this guy will stay longer, and perhaps provide us with some spoilers about the new season? lol

but I already gave up hope on lostpedia, and am now in a forum callled spoiler tv wich is saying everything I want about lost :D

  3. Disappointing that it won't now be broadcast in HD.

  4. Fuck spoiler blogs man. IMO Lostpedia should stay clean of this.

  5. Wow. This is the first post in, what was it... a month! I've given up hope for Lostpedia.

  6. Matthew, unless you're Australian, I really didn't think this information would be useful to you anyway.

Also, not much is happening in the Lost world at the moment. Considering Lostpedia doesn't deal in spoilers, there's little to report.

  7. I am seriously glad of this post. In Australia they barely even advertised season 5. Most people found out about it only after two episodes had aired, and only by word of mouth.

Any early news about the season 6 timeslot is very appreciated.

  8. Did you really just say 'not much is happening in the Lost world right now'? You realize that there's a new poster out every single week, right? And that no one has kept up with the clues or the releases since four posters ago?

Yeah, not a lot going on at all.

Don't bother with a blog if you aren't going to post in it anymore. LP used to be a good site, now it's useless.

  9. Agreed bitchesssss

  10. Finally, an update.

BUT, what about something that's actually going on? Yes, there are things going on, if your staff would take 3 minutes to google.

No matter how busy you are, you can take 5 minutes and make an LP blog post. There is a poster each week, it's not like you're being asked to swim to the moon.

Hand the editing keys over to someone with some stick-to-it-ness.

No excuses make up for the total lack of responsibility for what was once the best LOST site on the planet. It's sad to see all of the users pissed and disappointed in what could have been a great series of discussions on the posters...

Hell, if you depended on LP for your Lost updates, January would come and you'd hardly know a thing about this poster business, much less have a heads-up on buying one.

Come on, just hand it over to someone who can MAKE time out of their busy schedule to maintain the site.

  11. Lol @ "swim to the moon" on the above post.

I totally agree, this is at least the third time that LP has not followed through with updating blog info.

    I'm just saying.

It's not as though you all didn't know as you've covered the first six posters.

  15. Finally! A new post!!!

  16. Its about time us Aussie Lost fans got to watch it at a decent hour. Channel 7 were airing it at 11:30pm and sometimes 12:00am for seasons 4 and 5. I don't know why it took so long for them to get their second channel up and running but at least we can get season 6 at a normal time and not have to record it and watch it the next day.

  17. I agree with Kate, how can someone say there's not much happening in the Lost world when there are practically 3 Lost ARGs going on, there's the poster stuff at DCAPB, there's the Misteries of the Universe and the Lost University. Add the rewatch to that and I think there should be at least two new posts almost every day!!

  18. The Man in Black is also Jacob. Think back to Locke's backgammon speech and all of the duality. Not duality between two separate entities; that's always a delusion. The Others, once named, immediately became the enemies of the Losties, the group Self. But that's something that will break down, already has.

Only duality of the self. Only one Jacob. And I bet Titus Welliver doesn't even know.

That's exactly the kind of move that Darlton would pull, and it's completely coherent and consistent. Unlike math.

  20. So, you're just gonna disregard LU, DCAAPB, and MOTU.

    Thanks.

  21. Don't worry.
I hear when the rewatch gets into seasons 2 and 3 we're going to see some awesome posts.
    Right?

  22. Oh, at 12 PST, there's a new reveal.

Oh wait, you don't care bout DCAAPB, do you?

  24. nooysterhere was real...

according to the poster site admin, this one sold out in less than 10 seconds

yeah, nothing going on with LOST right now

  25. another poster was sold yesterday...this time it was PLAGUED with errors...SQL errors abound during the checkout process. maybe they need to upgrade the server?

pisses me off though, it's cool when you have a legitimate race to buying, but not when you're hindered from entering the race.

+ more sour grapes, lolz..but seriously, I wonder if they could have prevented this with a bigger server and more testing? they should send the people collecting the whole series who tried & missed their first or second one a ping pong ball or something...heh

Hey LP people (sorry to bother you in your hollow log, you know, where you've been hibernating), how about an update detailing the poster series?

  27. is anyone else like genuinely concerned that something happened to these admins? why would you be so fanatical as to start and maintain a perseverative blog like lostpedia, and then disappear like this? maybe their plane crashed??

  32. Hey, is a new channel to air Lost in Australia?

I wish someone would post something about it and just let it stay up for months on end...

    ReplyDelete
  33. With the show's innumerable fans, its brains should start giving away items that our favorite characters are using in the show, sort of a memorabilia for fans.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hey, at least we know when the season premiere will be.

Therese Odell had a good spoiler resulting from her trip to Lost-central. http://blogs.chron.com/tubular/archives/lost/

I'm sure someone will pick up the blog around Jan 30.

  35. That is the $60k question...will Lostpedia be reborn/reinvigorated and come back to life when Season 6 starts?

I think this mystery tops all of the LOST mysteries...
