DamonCarltonAndAPolarBear.com has been completely overhauled, now showing 16 picture frames, with the first of Paul, Damon, Carlton and Ronie Midfew (seen from only from behind). Clicking on it, or clicking on 'hub' takes you to your first hint... advertising Banana Split Sundaes - described as 'a house party... in a club!"It looks like tonight's Sundae will contain some clue, and if you follow the poster to the MySpace page of the event and one of the organizers Steve Aoki, you see that all this stuff is completely real. The only real hint of a clue comes from The Mike B (one of the guests at the evening) on his Twitter page, saying "Special guest dj set from John Locke at Bardot tomorrow... Namaste." Cheers to LOST ARGs for the heads up on that one.
So though the new DCPB website says that the hints will take you to physical locations, or just other websites... it doesn't seem like there's anything on this first clue other than "attend the event" at Bardot, Vine Street, Hollywood - and look out for something special. A bit of a weird ARG start, but nonetheless cool - will anyone be going? There must be some cool and trendy Lost Internet ARG players who also let their hair down in nightclubs. Anyway, enough chat, I'm off to do work for my research project in the library.... oh crud.
Update - Am liking theories that they got the address wrong on the poster on purpose. The actual address I believe is 1735, but the poster says 1715... which apparently is where Judy Garland's Hollywood Walk of Fame star is... a mere gaff??? Quite probably, but as Michael Emerson said "I like the way you're thinking".
Mhhh... But if you read on -Rules of the road- (at the bottom of damoncarltonpolarbear.com) you can see they wrote:

So, I don't think it would be helpful to go to the party...
On the Myspace page of Banana Split Sundaes, there are two e-mail addresses, and I wrote to both of them.
- the first e-mail address is the free guest list of the party (and probably this will give us some information by mail)
- the second e-mail address is for helping the group to get their flyers. Maybe this is real, but i wrote an e-mail also to them, saying that i'm interested.
Also, I asked the BananaSplitSundaes to be added as friend on their Facebook page, just in case they will give some clues...
Interesting choice of tune on the first video on the MySpace page....Music Sounds Better With You by Stardust - didn't the original video for that tune feature a kid playing with a toy aeroplane? Probably means nothing, but reminded me of Kate...

The Judy Garland bit is most likely on purpose, given Lost's history with Wizard of Oz references. Although, it could just be a red herring.

ReplyDelete2. On the poster there are Dharma logos, the Flame, Swan, ect., but there is also a ? and one that is unidentifiable because there is a Big Ass Foot in the way. I think that it is just Generic Dharma Logo, but the ?probably means we will see a new Dharma Logo.
Also just a side note most people like to post pictures of parties.

I can not believe I found something.... I think... I was at DCNPB and I was looking at the poster and by accident I highlighted the picture (when you paint it like to copy it) In the three logos at the bottom the first one Says DM and now after painting it you can see what it stands for it says DSMMAK (the K you can see it in green) Im not sure it is DSM or DIM... I have no idea what this means but maybe you coudl do something with this...

ReplyDeleteI was takinga good look at the fisrt pic on DCNPB and you can see some paintings behind them... the ones behind paul an damon is one of sawyer with his glasses reading on the beach... remember?!? that he was reading some sort of manuscript?? (back in season 1!!!) and then we have the one of the polar bear with Damon and carlton. There are 3 more smaller paintings that I can not recognize... can anyone maybe work a bit the resolution of the pic?! it is so tiny!!!! Just that!

ReplyDeleteDoesn't anybody notice the configuration of the picture. First I thought it might be 'just a promotional picture' from somewhere (as if such things exist with Lost). But then it would be a kind of odd when someone has it's back turned to the camera.

ReplyDeleteIt is apparent that the number 15 is important if you look between Carlton Cuse's arm and RM's arm you see the number 15, if one of the themes 15 will be lost 16 will be found and the poster list the address as 1715 which is wrong then what is on 1716.
ReplyDeleteSo I followed up on my theory and google mapped it. three main attractions came up one of them the the Hollywood/Vine (LACMTA) station. A station with an Island platform. Coincidence, who knows. I will get back to you guys when I find out more.

ReplyDeletethe 15 is on one of a couple of seats from the Field Level of Dodger Stadium, after they removed all the existing seats in a 2005-2006 renovation. I'm guessing the other chair is 16.

ReplyDeletejust as a note, the "LOTS" picture is a "parody" picture taken out of a magazine (though I can't remember if it's Rolling Stone, MAD, or something else)--I remember seeing it when I was browsing through whatever magazine quite a while ago.
ReplyDeleteIt's called "LOTS" because of the insane amount of characters the show had/has, and it has a bunch of speech bubbles with the characters talking about themselves or the show and what not in a satirical manner.
Just wanted to point this out maybe its coincidence but I thought I would bring it up since this is all about season 6. Season 1 in the Pilot Kate asks Jack where he learned to work a transceiver Jack said he took a couple of flying lessons. Kate also wondered if she knew Charlie from somewhere Charlie said it was from Drive Shaft Kate said she had a friend who like Drive Shaft, Kate has been on the run for quite some time.
ReplyDeleteTotally out of topic... but I was just watching AXN (channel that transmits LOST in southamerica) and they said that the items hurley gets back when he is released from prison are the same objects that jacob gave sawyer, kate and jack... the pen for sawyer, the money to pay for kate's theft and the nutrition bar for jack... he also left hugo the guitar case and other stuff... so, did he carry something from everyone?!?!?! weird huh?! did you know this?!
