Clandestine Meetings

Paul Scheer writes that he got an unexpected guest yesterday: a man dressed in black. The man seems to be Ronie Midfew's muscle, but he doesn't get violent with our hero - just threatening and a scoop of enigmatic. He expresses his disliking of Lost fans (sounds like Alan Dale - hey, another Widmore connection!) and gives Paul a message to meet with Ronie Midfew in person. Here's what the message actually said:

FRIDAY – 4:08PM @ RONIE MIDFEW ARTS GALLERY - XXX XXXX DRIVE, BEVERLY HILLS*

SEE YOU THEN – E. SAU
Note the address has been blanked out for obvious reasons. So the man in black is E. Sau. I wonder what the E stands for? Anyway, tomorrow sounds fun - Sau said no camera or recording devices... but a part of me feels like Paul will come through for us with some big sombrero or cowboy hat a la Homer Simpson. It would indeed be very interesting to hear or see Ronie Midfew, and also understand why THE MAN is specifically targeting our man!! BTW, Paul has said he'll ask Midfew some of our questions, so post them in the comments section on his blog without delay (the meeting will be happening soon!)

Finally, it's interesting that Paul talked about smokie and The Man In Black (i.e. Jacob's nemesis) in a post before then experiencing a visit himself from a man in black. Makes me wonder more about DocArzt's theory that Paul's paintings are prophetic and that's why Midfew are after them... maybe in between punning Paul has the gift of foresight without realizing? A bit out there, but a theory nonetheless.

Update: Duh, forgot Esau was the name people think Jacob's nemesis goes by, though ME said not so much at Comic Con. So this new man in black seems to know Lost well after all.

  1. Am I the only the one that thinks this is incredibly dumb?

Not the post, Nick, but the whole 'storyline' being put out from the gaptoothed artist

  2. Haha thanks for clarifying, otherwise it woulda just wrecked my day, you know ;)

I agree it's a bit weird, but I'm hoping things will develop a bit when we meet Ronie Midfew

  3. I agree that Paul Scheer makes for an odd filter for info. It probably began out of Darlton's desire to debut this at Comic Con. They get a "fan" to ramble about a website and then use the site as a springboard for the ARG.

Anyway, we've already had the reveal of the ep1 & ep2 titles, so at least there's been a little payoff. I'll continue to follow and just treat it as a fun ride.

  4. Ronie Midfew is an anagram for “Widmore fine”, ''fine'' in Latin translates to territory, limits, borders in English. This could be Widmore Industries and E. Sau is another agent like Abaddon.

  5. What is this. Where the heck is the rewatch. I have not logged on here for a little bit and I come back to find all these blogs, each making less sense than the other.

  6. I'm enjoying the whole Scheer adventure. Darlton said the Comic-Con panel was dedicated to the fans, and now it's clear that they're extending this into the off-season game. Scheer represents a loving caricature of the fans, with all our obsessive behaviors. And along the way, they're revealing a few choice tidbits about Season Six. Keep it up, lads!

  8. I believe Ep1 and Ep2 are Part 1 and Part 2 with the same title.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
