Seasons 1 & 2 released on Blu-Ray
The day has finally come: seasons one and two are finally available in the high definition of Blu-ray disc. All four seasons are now available (in the United States) in Blu-Ray, and now the collections can finally be completed.
This release is also just in time for The Lost Rewatch, so that you can rewatch along in high-quality style. Maybe you'll catch something you missed the second time around.
For more information on the Blu-Ray release, see my earlier blog post.
My question is whether the Blu-Rays of Seasons 1 & 2 are really worth the upgrade. I have 1 & 2 on DVD, and 3 & 4 on Blu-Ray, and they ALL look spectacular! The one thing that *might* push me over the edge to get the BRs is if the extras are REALLY impressive.
J. LaValley, there is no contest. Lost on Blu-ray looks incredibly sharper than the DVDs. More importantly (to me at least) is that the audio is fully uncompressed and is identical to the studio master, whereas the DVDs were slightly better than listening to an audio cd. I cannot recommend the upgrades enough.
Oh please, not again the non-homogenous cover art. Is it so hard for them to maintain the same design over the entire series? And the same goes for practically every other series on DVD, it's ridiculous.
'"Maybe you'll catch something you missed the second time around."Locke to Ben in S04 (can't remember the exact ep, but it's when Locke brings brakfast to Ben.)'
Don't you mean season 2?
"Have you guys got any milk?"
lol love that scene
I will get season 2 br cos i lent my originals to a friend who er...... didn't look after them very well. Its a insult to damage lost dvds!!
Got mine yesterday. Fantastic picture quality! However for us in the UK, we still have to wait and see if Season 3 gets released on Blu-ray.
