No, I wasn't lying. The only reason I did it was because I literally could not get out of bed for a week. That was all I did, and I agree that it was a lot to take in, which is why I am glad we have this rewatch because now I will really be able to appreciate the series and take in the nuances.

All the questions about Season 5 here is the answer: iTunes and DVR. You know there are many ways to find the episodes. Plus, most DVD players play AVI files and you can always find a friend who downloads stuff, get him/her to download it for you.

Anyone who said they've rewatched the entire series (all 103 hours) in a week or less is lying. That'd take about 11 hours of watching per day for a whole week! You'd barely be able to eat, sleep or do anything else, even if you were ill! Plus you wouldn't be able to take it all in and it would be near-pointless.

I actually just finished re-editing the entire series in chronological order. It was a lot tougher than it sounds.

I edit for a broadcaster during the day, so I have i spent my nights for the last 6 months, re-editing lost.

I've been using Final Cut Pro to do the re-edit, and I compressed everything down to H.264 to save some hard drive space.

Just in case anyone else is interested, I'm putting a twist in my own personal Lost Rewatch -- re-editing the entirety of all five seasons in chronological order so that my wife and I can sit down and watch it before Season Six begins.

My boyfriend and my best friend had never watched LOST before 2 months ago, and we're just coming up to "Through the Looking Glass," the season 3 finale! They're in love and sad that they've missed out on all the fun speculating and watercooling. I, however, am all up to date and can't wait to read along with the rewatch... even in the middle of season 3, there are things referenced directly from season 5, pointing back to season 2, foreshadowing things that have happened/will happen in season 2, or in 1977, etc... I LOVE THIS SHOW!

Watch for the differences between Jack's story of "counting to 5" in the Pilot episode vs. what we now know happened in the season 5 finale. I'm guessing he didn't want to admit to the pretty girl he just met that he nearly screwed up his first surgery... :)

Speaking of the rewatch, look for this line from Expose (yes i watched that one again,don't ask me why).

I actually did a rewatch myself before Season 5, but the thing is I did it in five weeks. I don't know how you're going to resist wanting to watch just one more episode each week... three or four episodes per week sure isn't enough for me.

I might rewatch the whole series before Season 6 starts, but I'll wait a few months to do that. It's just like when you want to rewatch a movie you just watched, but you end up bored because you remember everything that happens.

It's funny how many little side-stories you don't remember when you first rewatch it, and how all the characters' stories were told in previous seasons (not so much in Season 5).

At least now, when Locke says, "We were brought here for a reason," and Jack says that there's no such thing as destiny, people will be able to think about the whole story in another way. Thinking back, maybe both of them were half-right, half-wrong?

I have been doing a rewatch on my own for a couple of weeks (I'm on season 2) and there are already a couple of things I have seen that I really didn't pay attention to before. In the pilot, Rose says about the monster, "There's something familiar..." I would be willing to bet money that that statement will apply to the monster in the end. Also Locke's character has a creepier tone to him than I remember (staring at Walt, tying Boone up). I think season one especially, has a lot of important clues in it.
