ABADDON is the name of the keeper of the bottomless pit in the book of Revelations...and that scene is a DIRECT take off on Bruce Almighty ( GOD dresed in all white, behind a desk in a big empty office space)

Maybe they filmed it and are collecting new Missing Pieces for the next hiatus. However, after reading it I think they removed it because the scene doesn't offer any new information. We the audience already know what Miles can do. He'd already exercised it twice before in the same episode. Once talking with Naomi and before that in the flashback. So in interests of time, the producers opted to remove repetitive scenes.
