Season 6 and Entire Series DVD and Blu-Ray

News is emerging about the release of two exciting new additions to a Lost fan's DVD or Blu-Ray collection.

TVShowsonDVD.com and other sources have revealed some details about the Season 6 DVD, as well as announcing Lost: The Complete Collection, both apparently slated for release on August 24, 2010.

The Season 6 set is going to be 5-disc collection at USD$60 for DVD and USD$80 for Blu-Ray.

The motherload, however, is 36 (Blu-Ray) or 37 (DVD) discs at USD$230 and USD$280 for DVD and Blu-Ray respectively. Not only will it include all 120 or so episodes, but also EVERY previous extra, PLUS an additional two hours of exclusive bonus content.

However, none of this news is official so far, so it all could be subject to change, or not even eventuate.

Follow our articles on the Season 6 set and the Complete Collection set on the Lostpedia wiki for updates as they come.

Warning! Beware of Premiere Spoilers

For all you Lostpedians who want to go into the sixth season premiere, "LA X," with no idea of the outcome of Juliet's Jughead detonation, I suggest you get off the internet from now until Tuesday. The LOST Sweepstakes prizes shipped today, which included a USB drive with the first five minutes of the season six premiere on them. I can personally say that it is the most spoiler-heavy piece of anything that's hit over the hiatus, so be careful if you don't want to see.

The video has a watermark running diagonally across it, so if you see a video with that watermark, don't watch it unless you want to be spoiled for the first minutes of the premiere.

Just a little note of precaution -- with it being the sixth and final season, we don't want any people being unnecessarily spoiled.

We look forward to delving into LOST with you all once again when the season premiere itself airs in the U.S. on February 2 on ABC.

The Onion and Darlton

Now, I don't know about you, but the majority of Lost fans I know have a good sense of humor and can take jokes quite light heartedly. I hope so, because The Onion have arrived to give us all a gentle slap with this lovely video entitled "Final Season of 'Lost' Promises To Make Fans More Annoying Than Ever", and Damon and Carlton are joining in with the joke (though after some of the reactions from the fans over the years, especially complaining about season scheduling, can you REALLY blame them?)

Its a playful poke at the obsessive nature of Lost fans (and lets be fair, thats the reason this site exists at all) and I had a good laugh at my own expense with this one. The section after Damon and Carlton's interview is absolutely hilarious, I'm still wiping the tears away from my eyes. They certainly seem to know the sense of humour of a Lost fan...

Final Season Of 'Lost' Promises To Make Fans More Annoying Than Ever

New Season - New Look

We've given the Lostpedia Blog a new face lift.
The original template design, which was put together a few years ago to launch the blog, was only ever meant to have been temporary whilst we came up with something cleaner and prettier to use.

Well, with a conversion of the gorgeous Metamorphosis Themes by WooThemes to Blogger, we finally have something that I think you can agree, is pretty attractive looking!

Nothing from the old blog has changed, and all the original content is in place. It just looks much nicer than it did before. There will be tweaks and changes, but we hope you like this more aesthetically pleasing design.

Also, unfortunately due to the behaviour of some individuals, we've had to enable accounts on the blog again. If you have an OpenID or Google Account, you should be able to comment without any issues. We apologize but unfortunately a few moronic people will always want to spoil the fun of the majority. Most people will already have an OpenID account, as major sites support it, so hopefully the fun won't be ruined by a mindless, immature section of the web.

Lostpedia Chats with the Washington Post

We're getting closer.

With the premiere of season 6 looming ever closer, Lostpedia is being referred to as the possessor of all of LOST's mythical answers.

Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little. But Lostpedia is indeed beginning to be recognized as one of the major sources and experts on the show. The Brazilian magazine Superinteressante has already interviewed me and a few other Lostpedia administrators on our views for the final season. And now, we'll be chatting with the Washington Post about the sixth and final season.

Paul Kerton (plkrtn) and I will be part of "The LOST Hour" hosted by the Washington post on Wednesday afternoon, at 2 P.M. eastern time. Check out the Washington Post's entry on the discussion, for which you can submit your theories and questions. Hope to see you then!

UPDATE: Kevin Croy, founder of Lostpedia will also be taking part in the chat.

Post 400 : The Promos post

Well, with 15 days to go to the US airing, and with most countries due to see the final season within 3 days of that airing, the promo clips from around the world are appearing thick and fast. ABC's promos have been criticized by fans as being lacklustre and lazy. Here are a few of them:

Two, well yes, lazy promotional clips indeed. It seems ABC has pretty much given up on those aspects of the show that pulled fans into it in the first place, the intrigue and fascination.

But be thankful for the international broadcasters, who are giving us excellent and exciting promotions for the show. For example, this one from Hot HD in Israel.

Or this superb piece, put to Radiohead's Everything In Its Right Place from Spanish Network Cuatro

In the UK they've had teasers since November! This one by far more interesting than anything ABC has put out so far:

So even if you are being starved of interesting trailers in the United States, your appetite can be whetted by some of the amazing things being produced by the International partners. If only ABC would pay to use them!

This is our 400th post on Lostpedia Blog too. We'll probably get to 500 before the Season 6 is over, so be prepared for a bumpy ride with just 15 days to go!
