ABC is presenting an opportunity to be among the first to see exclusive footage of the opening of Season 6. 815 winners will receive an exclusive message in a bottle with the opening scene to the final season premiere... days before it premieres. This is a great way for ABC to stimulate excitement for what will be an epic premiere of Season 6. Although, if I was one of the 815 winners, I'm not sure I'd want to read the opening prior to watching it on TV. I think part of the excitement and shock is going to be watching the opening on TV come February, 2nd 2010. I'd enter if I could, but I'm not in the US. I agree that part of the excitement is watching the opening of the season when the episode comes on. With 815 winners, at least one of them is going to leak the footage to DarkUFO so I'll be able to watch it if I want, but I would rather wait. I've waited this long, and I'd rather not watch the opening and have another agonising wait to see the rest. My only concern is avoiding finding out what happens from someone else. Is Lostpedia going to take any precautions like they did just prior to the finale?
ReplyDeleteVery disappointed to get the email from ABC and then not be able to enter it as I live in Canada. Also, same bit for the LOST freebies on Itunes, not on the Canadaland version. :(
ReplyDeleteFrom what I understand the "message in a bottle" is a usb drive with the actual first 5 minutes scene of the premier. I don't think you'll have to read about it.

ReplyDeleteFrom what I understood after I entered was that there is going to be 5 minutes of a video clip, BUT most of that was going to be from the season 5 finale and a small part would be from the upcoming opening of season 6.
