Apparently so - MOTU Pt 3 has been released on Hulu a day early, and DocArzt has the scoop. There's even a YouTube upload for those of us outside the USA and Canada!
I have to say I'm a little bit disappointed. I was hoping for something a little more in the way of revelations from Mysteries Of The Universe, but we're now past Part 3 and there still doesn't appear to be anything we don't really know already. Damon Lindelof said we'd learn new things about DHARMA when asked at Comic Con... but so far I'm not seeing any OMG worthy moments. What do you guys think?
i never knew pharmacology was a word...
ReplyDeleteVery Lukewarm, vague reference to Oldham, perhaps Matthew Abaddon and a view to his past, or the belief of being told "You're special" will make you believe it, but otherwise, nothing to get any sort of pulse racing.

Well, it does answer where the submarine came from -- not sure that we knew that already. Also, I like the reference to a "fleet" of submarines. Does that mean there is a sub (or two) we don't know about?
ReplyDeleteIs the hidden person-Damon Lindelof?
ReplyDeleteIs that Eloise Hawking's church? They said it was in LA, and that was a Dharma station...
ReplyDeleteWow did you put that theory together yourself? I thought it was obvious enough that it didnt need to be said....
ReplyDeleteActually, I didn't put that together. But yes, I believe it may be that church - that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, so far nothing very interesting, except that an inside source called the "Room 23" experiments "brain-washing".
This would have been a really awesome RPG thing between seasons 2 and 3.
i also thought the hidden witnes was damon!!!!!!! and yes the church is the lighthouse station!
ReplyDeleteWell, it doesn't provide much in the way of new information, but it suggests that the Lamppost was the hub of off-island Dharma funding. The money used to purchase everything went through the church. $1.5 million in 1980s' dollars is pretty significant.
ReplyDeleteWho knew the DI had their own checks?
Was anyone able to read those invoices? I see WAKY appears again.
I love the idea of the church/lamppost station being used as a front or "shell company" for the DI's purchases. I agree nothing really exciting, but it is interesting to see how the DI got their equipment and still be a huge secret to everyone in the world
ReplyDeleteWell, there wasn't much of interest (that Ludovico Technique bit is cute -- it's a reference to A Clockwork Orange, not unlike the Room 23 scene in "Not in Portland") but I do have more ammo for my theory that Dharma was created by a splinter set of Others. If the sub goes back to post-WWII in the South Pacific, it was presumably part of the island's American military presence back in the 50's. The Others took over their camp and uniforms; why not their sub?
ReplyDeleteJust finished watching Evil Dead 2. I was amazed by the amount of similarities with Lost, watch and see what you think
ReplyDeleteExamples
Opening credits look the same as the Lost credit
The shack
The chair in the shack rocking back and forward
Being dragged through the forest
Time travel
Either this movie has subconsciously entered the writers minds or they have used it for some inspiration.
Oh, I'm glad someone pointed that out about the church because I didn't notice.
ReplyDeleteFavorite line of the cliip: "this may be called.... BRAINWASHING! (show terrifying skeleton here)
