This is breaking news (well 10 mins ago), so forgive shortness. It's just to let fans know a URL appeared at the bottom of the screen during Attack of the Show, according to sources, sending us to
wewerecaughtinanet.comThere you'll find the third poster, which will be on sale soon. Keep a watch on that site if you want to be among the first to bag the poster!
I think it is supposed to be Rose, hence all the Roses on the van, also there is something in the back of the van, its some kind of hidden image.
ReplyDeleteif the news ain't broke don't fix it
ReplyDeleteI don't believe either of the flowers are roses, they look more like plumeria (on top) and orchids, both found in the south Pacific, unlike roses. Certainly the foliage is not like roses.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone else think the quotes used as URLs are significant? Maybe a number code - season/episode/act numbers. If there's a pattern, maybe we can find the next URLs before they are released...
ReplyDelete"Actually, it's ketchup" is a line spoken by Hurley in "The Lie," episode 2 of Season 5.
ReplyDelete"That and basket weaving" is spoken by Alex in "Not in Portland," episode 7 of Season 3.
"We were caught in a net" is spoken by Jack in "Three Minutes," episode 22 of Season 2.
5-2, 3-7, 2-22. I can't see much of a pattern there. Now, the first one was a line by Hurley and it was linked to a poster of Hurley, but the next two URLs and posters don't really match up.
Good comment, Brian, but doesn't the phrase "caught in a net" also get used by Sawyer and Kate in that same episode (or the following one)? I'm also thinking (and may be mistaken) that it is used in reference to Henry Gale as well in another episode, which would make more sense in terms of how the image relates, since Henry/Ben did use the van at least once.
ReplyDeleteYou can search dialogue in Lostpedia by either typing in the phrase in quotation marks, or, if that doesn't work, start looking at transcripts.
ReplyDelete"We were caught in a net" was used, verbatim, by Jack to Sawyer. I was going for word-for-word quotes. These phrases might not have any real meaning, just as I'm guessing this whole exercise doesn't have much meaning, other than to keep fans hungry during the offseason.
Brian, just fyi, and I'm not saying anything here, but the verbatim quote was "We GOT caught in a net." (emphasis mine). Just pointing it out.
ReplyDeleteAustin, sir, you are wrong: from the "Three Minutes" transcript:
ReplyDeleteSAWYER: I ain't talking about Mike. You and Freckles -- before you found him you all were gone all night.
JACK: We were caught in a net.
SAWYER: What the hell is that supposed to mean?
JACK: It means we got caught in a net.
Sawyer says "We got caught in a net" later in the episode, but my original comments were correct. Just pointint it out.
The hidden image on the back of the van looks sinewy, like a corpse. Two logical conclusions, if this is true, would be Roger "Workman" Linus (with head attached), or one of Adam and Eve.
ReplyDeleteIF the flowers were roses, this might be one of the clues that was alluded to in the original spirit of the pre-Midfew blog, implying Rose = Eve. "If" being the key word.
It's still entirely likely this whole 16 Frames phase is the LOST version of Ralphie finding "BE SURE TO DRINK YOUR OVALTINE" with his decoder ring.

ReplyDeleteSorry anon - I don't mind when it's semi-relevant to plug your site... but just spamming random posts to get people to emigrate is a bit rude (I think there's actually a rule on that on Lostpedia wiki help pages).
ReplyDeleteWhoa, whoa, whoa...Where do you all see this hidden image?
ReplyDeleteClue alert! 1st clue for Frame 4!
